This is my Lotus II puzzle. It is a Gyroelongated Square Dipyramid/Bipyramid I created it with the assistance of member Caveman999. This puzzle was cast from 3d printed masters printed in sls (wsf) from Shapeways.com. It was molded in mold max 30 and cast with onyx. It was then fixed up with black apoxie sculpt and sanded, painted, stickered and lubed (lightly). It has a hollow core so it isn't very heavy. It is stickered in hand cut stickers as I plan to replace them with machine cut stickers as soon as all the outgassing has taken place. This puzzle will be for sale soon, and is currently the only one of it's kind. Caveman999 will be creating one of his own also. I don't currently have plans to make any more, but if thier is interest, I will build one or two more. Thanks, Tanner Frisby (steryne) Attachment:

Looks great! I have been told by a lot of people that WSF is not suitable for making molds. Did you run into any issues? Did the MoldMax sink into the masters at all? If this worked so well, I think I may try this for a future puzzle.
Thanks!

It just comes out grainy if you don't prep the masters. To be honest, this puzzle ended up sanding itself like wsf full prints do! Based on your question on Youtube: Quote: That is very cool! Is this a new type of jumbling? Or is it related to a geometry we've seen before? (like how the FTRD and the Helicopter Cube jumble at the same angle)
Great work!
pirsquared99 I think other people would be better to answer that question. Bram, Oskar, Andreas, many more. As for me, I think it is original due to the Geometry. All of the blockage proves to be a dificult challenge. During my (almost) solve, I had 4 pops because I forced a move that wasn't possible due to blockage I wasn't aware of. I mention a few in the middle of the video, their are about 4 more that I have run into. If you look at the end of the video, you can see that I wasn't able to solve it. This might have been due to putting pieces back in wrong. Or atleast that's my story and I am sticking to it. (this is the 3rd puzzle I haven't been able to solve on my own. This along with the 4x4x4 circle II and ETHAN).

Rub them together so they can sand themselves. Over and over and over and...

Very nice! I can't the video right now, my Mum's computer doesn't like it, but from the photos it looks great! This has eight axises, hasn't it? You could build some really cool octahedron from that! I would love to purchase one!

How did you get that this is a 3x3x3 shape mod? It is a vertex turing square antiprism shaped like a Gyroelongated Square dipyramid. It has 8 axises and is curvy. As for SEBUVER, This puzzle would look close to the rhombehedron next to it, however with 4 faces to a pole and the poles would be very stretched.

I am not too knowledgeable about the whole thing, but I think it goes like this: External jumbling, internal blockage.

If you made the puzzle a sphere but kept the same cuts, you could tell what is blocking the turn. If the cuts after your "jumbling" moves don't line up perfectly, then it probably does jumble. What degree of rotation is needed to jumble it? ie 70.1ish for helicopter cubes. This is a really cool puzzle

Okay, that makes more scence. It really isn't though. It is just stretched out.

As there hasn't been any puzzle with the same axis configuration it is a new kind of jumbling.
And it is impressive!!

Actually, this is not a new type of jumbling- Oskar's Asteroid Attack is an 'unbandaged' (meaning no excessive bandaging)and 'unaltered' (meaning 'face-turning variant')version of the Lotus-II. The Lotus-II simply has more bandaging, like the Bandaged cube. Either way, magnificent puzzle! I like the concept displayed here, though I do question, is it possible to make this into a Square-antiprism shape or would it fall apart? sj
