Many other designers have created portfolios to show the projects they are working on so I decided to do the same.

This is the hardest puzzle in the world, to scramble

The deep cut 3 can only jumble. In a jumbled state, the only rotation besides going back to the solved state is a 360 degree rotation. It uses an altered skewb mechanism.


This is a cubic 1x5x5.

Many issues are still being worked out with it but it should work. It does use magnets.


This is a cubic 9x9x9.

It works with the same concept as the 1x5x5 except it doesn't need magnets. There is a reason I do not show a picture of it rotated, the mechanism would be 100% visible.

I do have plans on making the cubic and proportional 9x9x9 in the near future so until then I will not fully disclose the mechanism. It is large but the design can be scaled down to decrease 3d printing costs. Currently it is 18cm x 18cm x 18cm. Also it does not use the v cube mech for the rest of the pieces(even though the v mech would work a lot better).

I don't the first one

This is a link to the first topic I made a while ago with it.

If you don't want to show your mechanisms that's fine, but you don't need to be so explicit about what you're not showing us, especially un-prototyped ideas. It's one thing to be careful, but until you build these puzzles and show they have some turning quality these are just unproven ideas.

Many of us have design ability, and we'd be happy to share our thoughts with you and interested in new ways to build new puzzles and improve existing ones. We're not going to run off to our 3d printers and steal your ideas as our own. If you think we are... then I'm not sure what your trying to show us here.

I know the comunity would not do that, but I still feel safer not showing most of my mechs until they are prototyped.

Atomic 3x3x3

It is just a normal 3x3x3 except because of the strange cuts, the corners are all fused together. The inner pieces rotate below the corner conecting points.



Elevator Cube

In the solved position, it looks like a normal 3x3x3. When sides are rotated, the center moves either up or down.

A clockwise rotation of 90 degrees rotates it into the up position.

A counterclockwise rotation of 90 degrees rotates it into the down position. Because of this, the sides can not rotate 180 degrees from the solved position. It also makes it a super cube because all centers must have the correct rotation to be level with the cube.

It is a cubic mental block. Because the cuts are at irrational angles, it can't be scrambled much.

All centers can be raised and lowered. However you could make variations with some of the colors being normal, and others only being able to rotate 90 degrees.

The tripods are a really neat idea, unlike anything else I've seen.

They remind me of Oskar's Twisty Tree or Fractal Cubes.

I really like the Elevator cube concept! That's one of those puzzles that would amaze people.

Golden Spheres


It functions the same as a normal 3x3x3, except the spheres "magically" float around the center.

I have absolutely NO idea of what I am looking at here. Please explain more!

It's just a shape mod of a 3x3x3. A normal 3x3x3 is within the large sphere. Each of the 6 faces are directly connected to the 6 corresponding small spheres. The other spheres have magnets holding them above the corresponding internal piece. When a sphere is twisted, it rotates the other 8 spheres like a normal 3x3x3.
