Just a few minutes ago I was doing some 3x3 times and something happened that made me almost fall out of my chair. F2l SKIP!! My average time is usually between 20 and 25 seconds, so this one was 11.93! Obviously it'd be a little cheap to count this for anything though..... Has this ever happened to anyone else before? I can't imagine the probability of this happening.. I was using Cubetimer.com and their algorithm generator.

Same thing happened to me when I was averaging in the high 30's. I got one F2L pair already, but not in the correct slot, and the rest was ridiculously easy and I got an LL skip, giving me a time of 19 seconds and also being my first sub-20 solve.

You guys are lucky. my first sub-20 was a non-lucky. I've never gotten lucky with F2L, and never got a full LL skip.

I have only gotten a full LL skip once, maybe twice, not sure, but I've gotten loads of PLL skips, as the odds of that happening is 1/72. And my second solve which was also very lucky, happened not long ago. I am currently averaging between 20-23 seconds now, but I got really lucky with the cross and also got a PLL skip, giving me a time of 12 seconds. Which is way better than the best non-lucky solves I manage to get.

I had a 2x2x2 solve that took 5 moves after looking at it for around 5 seconds. It looked fully messed up, but ended up being my fastest solve ever!

I've only had a couple full last layer skips as well. I've just never heard of a full f2l skip in a solve. Also, one time I was scrambling my 2x2x2 without looking at it and when I looked back at it it was fully solved.

I once had a seventeen move 3x3x3 solve in a little over 4 seconds. That was a long time ago and even though I was usually quite thorough in mixing it, I had mixed it myself so I don't count that as my fastest time.

A friend lately told me that he got a solve with a 2-move triple extended cross, a 3-move pair, and then OLL skip. He thinks he didn't quite finish a solve and then only did a few moves and didn't realize it, which is pretty likely :p

My best 5x5x5 solve had been 2:56 and then I got a 2:29. I was really hesitant to believe the timer as it wasn't a particularly lucky solve.
