I love all your designs, but I agree with others that you should start to produce them. If all of your designs work, you could be one of the best known puzzle designers. (Well you would be to me anyways!) I especially love that Esoteric Tetrahedron. It would be nice if when you upload it to shapeways they do what they did to Oskar's Floppy 2x3x3, but instead with the Esoteric Tetrahedron. If they did that I would almost certainly buy it!

What did they do with Oskar's Floppy 2x3x3?

I will do everything that would start selling some of the hi-end puzzle this year:
Esoteric tetranedron, Edge curvy octahedron, Double zerro cube...

in summer, I'll do a few simple puzzles, while I have very little experience ...

The thing I love about these designs is almost all of them are new puzzles, not just slight mods to what already exists.

I don't think he would stand a chance (or even be allowed to compete) without a physical prototype (plus the deadline for this year just expired).

It's great to "see" a new mechanism for deep cut puzzles to replace the redundant shell method.

I know only a few puzzles in this class: StarMinx 1 and 2, Pentultimate and Master Pentultimate, 24-cube
and I do not want to open the secret of their authors: Drizzle, Aleh and Drew

I'll give one hint: when you're down on the border depth you need to overturn that would go further ...
;)

hmmmmm
If I do not have very good, workable prototype, which is not ashamed to sell,
I do not even think about competition. however, this is a good idea;)

Amazing designs and i really hope they work out for you. As for that void master pentultimate if you can just figure out how to squeeze a megaminx in the middle and make it move with the pentultimate then all the pieces for this viewtopic.php?p=179381#p179381 would be represented and visible

The Master Pentultimate is a vastly simpler mechanism than the plain Pentultimate, for reasons which noone who hasn't gone through the exercise of trying to design the mechanism seems to appreciate.

Would it be possible for you to send me files for one of your deep cut puzzles, I really need a new mechanism, I don't like the one I have, and I'd love to make deep cut cubes. (I have a lot of ides I have not been able to prototype yet or get close to a good design of them...)

didn't understand your clue by the way...

:D Greg :D

EDIT: I found out a mech for deep puzzles, and I think I understand why the 24-cube is like this! It would be too long to explain, and it would need at least 3 layers for deep-cut puzzles... WOOHOOO!!

Now I just need to try it!

Yep, it appears to be the same master pentultimate mechanism I used in my pentultimate.

if you could test and finish the pentultimate, then sell it on shapeways, I will forever be in depth to you..

btw. about the double circle tetrahedron, I dont think you should be able to turn those tips. They would have to stay during the deeper turn. like a regular crazy cube feat.

I think it will make Jason sometime...

Here 4-axes core, 4 circles keep for axes, and other 4 circles are in air- therefore they can be turned...
I have not thought up still for what they can be hooked :?

sorry to jump a little off topic, but I just realized that we need to buy a bunch of helicopter cubes in order to help Jason move on to new puzzles... such as the Pentultimate. now that would be an exiting production puzzle

now back on topic.

your right about the 4 armed spider. Its hard to hook those pieces then.. even impossible?
anyway did you make the hexagonal version of the circle skewb yet?

I hope you don't consider printing the master mental block, becaue I've been hiting about it a lot, and I'd like to take this project to an end (maybe not now, but you get the idea)
