I´m a spanish collector , and I can offer the old version to the original rubiks cube for trade.
In Spain in the 80´s are MAKO the distributor to the cubes.

I knew it! It's a Spanish eccentricity!

Ok, here's the story: when I was in Spain last December one of the speedcubers there showed me a stickered cube with arched centers. I thought it's a deluxe and wished I had one, too. I think he told me a friend of him also has one. That's when I thought "mmh, maybe the *normal* Spanish cubes are not like those from other parts in the world?". I guess these pictures prove it. The cylinder doesn't mention anything. The centers are arched. The center caps are round and small. The other pieces seem to be normal, though.

Has someone (outside Spain ) seen this before? Is this in the database already and it's just me who never noticed?

Nice photos, good information. I wonder if your batch with arched centers was from a regular run of cubes, like the Dutch cube on Ton's site: http://www.speedcubing.com/ton/pages/Ru ... on1980.htm (I don't know why he labels it a clone because it isn't.) or an anomaly.

How many do you have to trade and what are you looking for in return?
