Hey Twisty Puzzlers,

I just finished a second copy of Pascal's Jumble.

VIDEO

I will be putting this puzzle up on eBay, and I will be donating at least 50% of the proceeds (more if the puzzle sells particularly well) to sponsor a friend of mine who is participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer later this month. That is why the central triangle in this puzzle has a pink sticker, and why the back has this image laser-cut into it:

I'll post here when I put it on eBay. In the meantime, here are some pictures:

Just a little disclaimer. You can see in the video that this puzzle is sometimes a little loose. This is because if it was even slightly too tight, the acrylic would have issues sliding across itself. This is unavoidable, but it causes some lockups if you don't align it right. Once you get the hang of turning it, though, the puzzle turns pretty well. I think I'm going to make only 1 more, depending on how well this one sells.

The numbers are Pascal's Triangle. Here's a link to more information about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal's_triangle

I just listed this puzzle on eBay. I am selling this puzzle to support a friend of mine who is participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Colorado at the end of June. I am not donating through eBay since I want to donate directly to her walking team, as opposed to donating to the charity in general. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 816wt_1013

Do you think this could be made into a higher order, e.g. expand the triangle further to add even larger circles?

That is definitely possible, but not with the tools I had. The laser cutter puts a kind of bumpy edge on all the curves, which is partly why the puzzle is loose (I had to sand them off). This is pretty much unavoidable. I think a larger puzzle would have more issues than this one had in the building process. I spent around 8 or 9 hours after assembling the puzzle, before I got it turning well enough to sell.
