well... You can see the mech when turned, but not more than you see the void-cubes mech. So you just see a tiny bit of the mech.

That price was a little bit of an exaggeration, it is closer to $470-480. It all depends on how thin I hollow the parts.

That's intriguing because I diagrammed a puzzle with exactly that number of parts in my notebood: 1+24+12+8+6+24 + 24 optional tiles. I'm nowhere near building it, but I nicknamed it 'Deep Six' anyway. Taylor encouraged me to attempt it over a year ago, but first I need more experience building some trivial puzzles.

Possibly just a coincidence; these numbers come up a lot when diagramming puzzles.

The parts breakdown is correct, but it's probably just a coincidence.

What fun is giving hints when others are not allowed to make guesses? Arguably I could make my own "hints with guessing" thread but maybe we could just scrap that rule instead?

Well... I guess those behind a new idea, *can* reveal more, or "play" with others
as long as they make sure they do not hijack the thread. And this always remembering
that the more hints given, the bigger the chance it can be copied.

All in all, the most important rule, is that we should make sure that the ideas are new,
never made before. Giving hints of a design which has been already made is misleading
and should be posted to the Building Forum instead. Thanks!

Well, my puzzle has never been made before (at least, not in this form).

I am sure it is something new, and it sounds intriguing!



And to play my hint part too, here is a hint regarding another new puzzle,
which I chose to be my exchange puzzle (i.e. I made 100 copies to exchange
with other people):

How do you interlock identical objects (no glue or other joints, just simple contact)
such that they become more earthquake resistant than solid structures?
(the answer for this will also be known in around a month!)

It can't ba 24 + dino, because then bandaging it won't make it be a 24 cube... or you can make it a 24 by bandageing the mech but then that's not bandageing!

I bet it's a 24 + helicopter or 24 + 2x2

I'll just say it, mine is a 24-cube. The mechanism is what will (possibly) destroy your mind a little, I don't think anything like it has ever been done before. The puzzle must be 3d printed, because I'm sure most of the parts are impossible to cast. All I will say about the mech is that the simplest puzzles can be extremely versatile

I hope PuzzleMaster6262 doesn't mind me saying this. "It's alive!!!". In all honesty, it is like the Frankenstein Monster. While it was deemed impossible to make since the start of this cubing fad, it is rather ugly and unattractive. Its body is made up of parts from dead puzzles, pieced together into one body so strange it hasn't been done before despite the large number of failed attempts. The one thing is, you guys aren't going to protest this Creature's existence. When I can record with my brother's camera, you'll know what it is.

I don't think it's possible to do without a physical copy. Better just give some away.

Dino Skewb Revenge? Master Dino Skewb?

Guys, it has nothing to do with Dino, the cutting planes don't cut the corners. It looks like an elite skewb, but maybe there's also turning corners likethe extensions of the lattice cube, or like a compy cube... that don't cut the corner itself!

It's not completely straightforward with you. You made the Dino Skewb that looks like a Lattice Cube. We can only guess where the cuts are on this.

I'll be the first to make a wild guess that TomZ's puzzle is actually a rhombic dodecahedron and not a cube, as they can look very similar when viewed from this angle. I have no idea what to guess for the name, though.

I think you're right. It might be made from a 5x5x5 but until we know, I'm clueless about a name.

I should probably bolt together my much less impressive one. Yours is designed in CAD, but mine's just a mod, so you should slow down. I'll bring out the Creature tommorrow.

A first PuzzleMaster6262 can still break the universe, so watch out.
