Well how i solve mine, is solve the inner three layers as a 3x3 (it is a 3x3) and then solve the outer two layers as a domino (as it is a domino). Hope this helped go get

I've seen a method where you solve the top, middle and bottom layers like a 3x3x3, and then the other two like a domino. I don't have a 3x3x5, but I think it may be faster.

If you just want to solve it, and not for speed, solve the inner three layers as a 3x3x3, and the outer 2 as a 3x3x4

Yes, I use it for the corners and it's ok.
But it doesn't work for the edges.

With the 3x3x4, I use (F2 U' MD2 F2)(TU2 R2)3(F2 MD2 U F2) for change 2 edges but it doesn't work with the 3x3x5.

To solve it, solve the inner part like a 3x3, solve the corners as a 3x3x4, and the edges like a 3x3x4. I use a different method to most; I get all of the white on the bottom, and permuted, and then solve the edges on yellow. To insert the edges on the white side, hold the edge on the top layer that you want to put into the bottom, and hold that on the right of the cube, on the top. Where you want to put that piece yo put that on the right but at the bottom. Then perform R2 U' until it goes into the correct spot.

I'd solve all the inner layers as I would a 4x4 (pair up centres, use parity algs to fix the edges if possible) then solve the outer layers like a domino.

I made my method up as i went and i dont think its the best by any means whatsoever, solving the inner layers like a 3x3 and the outers like a 3x3x4 sounds like the best way, but i dont have the 3x3x4 solve down very well so i made my own way up and it goes kinda like this (it should be noted that i like green as my starting side and blue as my last layer, so il say how i would solve it but for the mp 3x3x5s it will be yellow and white or it should be at least)

step 1: solve outside layers like 3x3x3 (including correctly solved middle layer)

step 2: solve the green edges

step 3: edge pair all the green side corners so you can do a complete solved f2l

step 4: solve the outer layer blue side

step 5: use parity algs to fix and pair the blue side corners live the blue side edges scrambled, in this process some of the green side edges will become scrambled

step 6: is the final step and the dumbest in my opinion but i have to align the messed up green and blue edge pieces across from eachother and then put 2 of the same colors across from each other and do an h perm.... its dumb. but i could explain it better in video, maybe i will, but i dont have any video editing software, so i dont know if i will, and the 3x3x3/3x3x4 method looks so much easier

I've always done mine (not cubic, but it's a 3x3x5 ) by solving top, middle, bottom as a 3x3x3 and then fixing the rest of it as I would if they were 3x3x4 pieces (because they are)

using layer by layer to solve 3X3XN may be the fastest way.
layer by layer can solve the first N/2 layer at the same,iust like F2L
my best time of solving C4U 3X3X5 is 63sec.It may be faster, i just play it for three day.

1st: solve the shape
2rd: 2 layer cross
3nd: first 3 layer
4th: 4th layer
5th: 5th layer
6th: special case

What you've got there is just a 3-cycle. Two similar coloured inner layer centres are swapped along with the two you visibly need to swap.

Which 3 cycle algorithm is it. I have been staring at my cube for a while now but I can't figure it out. I'm so out of it right now
