Sorry guys Britain will be closed for the foreseeable future. No planes coming in or out due to Volcanic ash in atmosphere from Iceland. We will try to resume normal service as soon as possible.

My brother-in-law has been trying to get here (US) to visit for several days from Northern Ireland. Still no luck.

At first I thought the threat was overplayed, but I've noticed a fine layer of dust has settled on the surface of my car the last few days, and I'm as far south as you can get.

Um ... once upon a time Britannia's navy was famous ... or at least famous enough for G&S to parody it.

The Teraminx is tropical! What do you mean? Well, this is a temperate zone. The Pigeon may fly south with the sun or the house martin or the plumber may seek warmer climes in winter yet these are not strangers to our land. Are you suggesting Teraminxes migrate? Not at all, they could be carried. What -- a pigeon carrying a Teraminx? It could grip it by the center cap! It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a 1 pound Teraminx! Well, it doesn't matter. Will you go and tell your master that Alex from the Court of TwistyPuzzles is here. Listen, in order to maintain air-speed velocity, a pigeon needs to beat its wings 43 times every second, right? Please! Am I right? I'm not interested! It could be carried by an African Pigeon! Oh, yeah, an African pigeon maybe, but not a European Pigeon, that's my point. Oh, yeah, I agree with that... Will you ask your master if he wants to join my court at Twistypuzzles?! But then of course African Pigeon are not migratory. Oh, yeah... So they couldn't bring a Teraminx back anyway... Wait a minute -- supposing two pigeons carried it together? No, they'd have to have it on a line. Well, simple! They'd just use a standard creeper! What, held under the dorsal guiding feathers? Well, why not? See this video to understand the joke, for all those who don't know monty python Greg

The problem you get is piles of mail sitting in warehouses. This is when things get damp, lost, stolen etc. Sellers should remember to warn their buyers of possible delays.

Sea mail from Britain is working just fine. The United States Government sent some documents to me in Japan. How did they send the documents? Well naturally, by sea mail from Britain. The documents arrived last night.
Meanwhile helicopter mail from China is working just fine too. A package from Meffert's arrived last night.

Well, at least this shouldn't affect the shipping of my Mefferts package, as well as other goodies from Hong Kong / China here to the united states. Does anybody know how this is affecting the shipments from Shapeways? They are in the Netherlands, which I believe is in northern Europe somewhere. RoboticFresca wrote: ulmboy556 wrote: I think thats just called april. Well then tell April to stop it. I'm getting tired of her and I'm quite cold. I find that quite laughable. the weather has been quite gorgeous the past couple weeks here in Louisiana, US. Recentlly for the past month here, there have been massive reports of mysterious yellow dust appearing all over people's cars, etc. It is called pollen, it falls from trees, and wreaks havoc on min as well as other people's nasal airways. Seriously, though, my heart goes out to all my friends across the pond who are stranded by the volcanic eruptions... Also, in gereral, over the past six months there have been huge amounts of sismic activity ranging from earthquakes to sunamis and volcanic outpourings going on all over the world, in unrelated areas. Does this mean we are getting closer to Armaggedon? Who, where is the next target going to be?

My Earth science teacher claims that we aren't really getting more earthquakes, but the media makes it seem like we are by selling stories about seismic activity. Regarding Shapeways shipments, my package is also stuck in Cologne. It was supposed to be here Monday, but I'd be surprised if it comes by the end of this week!
