I am curious if guests can be stopped from downloading files. I was just checking again tonight and no less than 4 guests were downloading at any given check tonight.

With all the STL files that have been given away, I wonder if this might slow down the latest issue?

Viewing attachments at full size also shows as downloading, I think.

Thanks for clarifying that. That means 3 seconds ago 8 guests were enjoying full sized pictures!

Although I'm only guessing at what "slow down the latest issue" means, I too have often wondered if it's a good idea to limit downloads to members for bandwidth reasons. I suspect many of the guests downloading them are search engine spiders mindlessly chewing up the bandwidth. But then again, I'm sure that some are real people who genuinely get a lot of value from the stuff we post/host here. Turning those people away wouldn't be ideal. If low bandwidth issues come up again, I'll probably reconsider it.
