I'm not sure I'm getting this right, does that say, "cubists do it in BR moves?"

Cubists do it in 52 moves. That was back in 1981 I still have several of these stickers (they were made by David Singmaster), but I don't find them just now to take a picture.

I was just told about this. A search says that El Goonish Shive (the comic in question) has never been mentioned on the forums before so I'm guessing no one has seen it before. Look at what the girl on the left is doing in the first two panels. [Added] The cube was mentioned on last night's The Daily Show. Having trouble embedding the link so watch it here: http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/mon-n ... --the-ballIt is around 2:50, you might as well watch the whole thing though. [/Added] - As a side note, if anyone reading this is waiting for me to build them a puzzle. I haven't forgotten about you. Some parts took longer than I thought they would to arrive, I returned to college, got a dog, fell into computer withdrawal after the dog ate my power cord, suddenly needed to spend time cleaning the house so that the dog wouldn't be able to get into things he shouldn't be getting into, lost things, found things, and just bought some things I'm hoping will speed up my puzzle making process. Much progress should be made today. I'm going to assume that everyone who wanted one still wants one and only contact anyone after I've finished building their puzzle. Whenever I plan ahead things go wrong.

It was also mentioned on Daily Planet last night (they were talking about the world record for a Rubik's Cube Mosaic; it was a reproduction of the Last Supper as seen here)

In one of the science labs in my school there's a picture of an octopus holding a 3x3x3. I doubt I'll be able to get a picture though, due to the 'no phones in school' rule. Alex

You'd have the easiest time making one, I think.
Step one: Roll a giant snow ball Step two: Add lines
That's all! Tony's ball puzzles would be so easy to make out of snow.

This is the "Pyraminx Building" I saw while i was on a trip in Kansas City Missouri a couple of weeks ago. I got the attention of my friend and said "I thought the Meffert's factory was in Hong Kong!" Enjoy. Chris PS That is the convention center if anyone is curious.

I just watched the film 'Shorts'. The black boxes in it aren't really puzzles but they remind me of mirror blocks cubes.

I just watched Night at the Museum 2 and in it, Ben Stiller refers to 'the cube of Rubik' as a way of destroying your enemies whilst talking to an Egyptian guy. Alex

Today on the Nickelodeon game show "Brain Surge", when they interviewed the contestants, one of the kids said he collected Rubik's Cubes, and his average time was 20 seconds! (And this kid was only about 10 years old! )
