I would like to purchase a Cube21 / Square-1 puzzle in the United Kingdom.

I have already emailed both places and had no reply as yet, just noticed that Henrik Haak is on holiday until the 17th of July
O well, i will have to bare with my newly ordered megaminx for a while then!

Thanks everyone - I've just laid my hands on both a cube-21 and a super cubix. The super cubix has an incredible build quality and mechanism compared to the new cube-21, but i am very happy with both.

It's been mentioned on the Yahoo speedsolving message board that "recent" Cube-21s have been incorrectly assembled. Perhaps that's the problem with yours. Under the Cube-21 logo-plate are a screw, a washer and a spring: the washer needs to be between the plastic and the spring (not between the screwhead and the spring). If the washer isn't in the right place, the spring will eventually chew through the plastic.
Jaap reminded me of this problem after I bought a creaky sample at DCD; it had, indeed, been wrongly assembled. The layers still turned poorly after making the correction, but the puzzle has been fine since cleaning off the greyish grease inside and re-lubricating with silicone...
