I've never had that happen to me before and was is shock. I've had people not send the goods before, but never had someone so honest come on and say it was just a picture!

If this helps you to "get well very soon", I will gladly give out password of my paypal buyer account to you. You will see how people may irresponsibly waste money on puzzles. This is not news here.

Seriously though, as a programmer I have access to thousands of credit card numbers and have root passwords on many machines. Does having a password of a paypal account with zero balance linked to a Cash Card means anything at all? The owner of which does not know English enough, got two unexpected (for him) disputes and is lost in the web interface and emails. (And I don't want to defend him at all.)

The question is interesting though. Would you give your passwords to other people to allow them a temporary access to your area? How about exposing full or partial info about yourself on public social networks? On public forums? Did you know for example that ebay profiles (possibly with your picture, name, location and full feedbacks aka purchase history) is publicly available on myworld.ebay.com without any password? Material for thinking.

Well, unless it's someone you know personally, and I mean VERY well and trustworthy, I would never recommend handing over the password to a paypal account. Even if there is no balance now, let's say the guy starts selling lots of puzzles, grew a nice big sum of money in his account and you were not trustworthy (just as an example), you could then log into his account, change the password, then transfer the money to an account you add yourself. Or, you could simply do really nasty things on ebay like use his paypal account to buy something really expensive, then when there's no money in the account to pay for the item, paypal will go after the name and address the account belongs to. And this can be done, because I once bought something and then realized I didn't have the money in my account to cover it. About 4 or 5 days later (plenty of time for the item to have been shipped), I received a notice from Paypal, and then I transferred the money to the account linked to paypal.

Did you know, that the factory, witch was produced the Supernova is working again?
In my collection, I have one old version of this puzzle, from the 80's and one from last year.

Unfortunately it looks like they cannot sell this puzzle in foreign countries. I don't know why.
And I also think it is not a success business for them like this.

Not really. Shipping was limited to Germany only. I've seen several German listings that went for ridiculously low prices, just because the seller limited himself/herself to just Germany. It's incomprehensible to me why you'd limit your potential buyers like that (unless you're underage and are not allowed to take the risk by your parents), but to each his/her own.

Regardless, I consider anyone who gets a decent roundy for €1 lucky.

I've had the Homer head and Simpsons Magic for a long, long time (bought it direct from the Rubik's website way back in 2007 shortly after my twistypuzzle craze first started), but I've always wanted a Bart's head. Heck, I'd gladly take a used one at that price! I only want it so I can twist it and make redicoulous shapes with it like I did with Homer. One of my favs was when I put his head into a "Hotdog" shape

Don't know how rare these are. I bought these a few days ago for NZD$26. Changed to USD thats about $15.

Here are two things that I picked up:

2002 Hungarian 500 Forint coin, depicting the Rubik's Cube, of course! It was $45.00 which seemed a bit much, but I decided it was OK, since they don't show up all too often.

Today, I won an Original Hungarian Supernova, from the '80s for $35.55. I missed it the first time for $19.99 and it went without a bid, and missing it cost me $15... Either way, I'm pleased to be able to own the original for a few dollars more than the remake/reproduction!

I've been looking for a flexible hexagon for years, and this is the first one I've seen on ebay in that time. I'm not going to think about my max bid.... But let's say I got lucky!

Well, you definitely did. My was the second highest bid. Be warned, however. It's not the full package, but rather the top lid torn off the original package. Otherwise I would have bid much higher. Still, it's a very good win of a very rare puzzle. Congratulations!

It was your lucky day, USA bidders. Because this seller disabled the international bidders and regretted when it was late (bids on items). I think it is a fair use to give a small snippet from his answer:

"I have learned that I could have and should have opened the bidding internationally. There have been people from France, Spain, Russia, Canada, Mexico and now Israel asking about bidding!"

Congratulation to the winners. Be sure the price on these items (including the two mentioned ones, Smart Alex and items with books) would be higher if not this seller's omission.

But I am not the one to complain. I got some lucky auctions too in the past, some were already mentioned by others here a few pages ago, some are more recent. Like: $5.50 for what I believe is a shiny version of Shinsei Mystery by Naoki Yoshimoto, complete with instructions.

(the first time it was when I got it for $100, and had a $400+ max bid LOL)

It is a brilliant puzzle, and if haven't tried it before, you will see! At IPP29, I stringed one
for another member from scratch... even stringing this thing is enjoyable, but playing with it

Rubik's Cube, new and sealed in box for $32.00. Not your ordinary yellow box, but it's white?

Could someone more knowledgeable on this please tell me why this is white as opposed to yellow, and if there is anything special to it? I would appreciate learning about it!

I was the underbidder at $31.00 and had initially planned to fight harder for it, but I remembered how much I've spent on puzzles this year and decided I wouldn't bid as much :S
