Wow. The Circle 2x2 (unbandaged) and the Circle 4x4.
Are these manufactured/cast, or is that a custom core?

First post, fourth picture. Top Right corner sticker says mf8. It is indeed mass produced, or will be soon.

WOW!!! The 4×4×4+2×2×2 cube has been one of my most wanted puzzles since I first saw it back in October 2007. I am ecstatic that this is being mass produced. Thank You!!! 哇!! 4 × 4 × 4 2 × 2 × 2立方,一直是我最想要难题之一,因为我第一次看到2007年10月回来。我欣喜若狂,这是正在大规模生产。谢谢你! I hope google didn't butcher that too much. And a couple questions... in English... for anyone. I'm sure google/translate would have issues with these considering the subject. (1) Crazy 4×4×4 cube I is the first [s]Super[/s] Super Cube. I hope that strikes out the first Super. I'm using the notation I've seen used with the CubixPlayer2 program made by Per which simulates a Super Cube with all the possible smaller Super Cubes that it incases. For example a Super 7×7×7 that incases a Super 5×5×5 which in turn encases a Super 3×3×3 is called a Super Super 7×7×7. The single use of Super refers to Cubes colored like this. Since this is a normal 4×4×4 that encases a normal 2×2×2, I'm struggling with what to call it. Is [s]Super[/s] Super 4×4×4 the right name? Should it be called the Normal Super 4×4×4? Does better nomenclature for these types of puzzles exist? I don't really like the double meaning of the word Super that I've seen used before but don't really want to reinvent the wheel if something better already exists. (2) Its easy to see the Crazy 4×4×4 cube I is equivalent to a 2×2×2 inside a 4×4×4. What about II, III, and IV? Version IV looks to be a complete 2×2×2 inside a complete 4×4×4 plus some other cubies. And versions II and III don't have a complete external 4×4×4. Is there a similiar interpretation to these puzzles as with version I being one puzzle inside another? If so I can't see it. (3) Can this progression be pushed any further? If the circle can be pushed out to the red line it looks like it might be possible to put a 4×4×4 inside a 2×2×2. It looks like the 2×2×2 pieces might just fall off during an edge rotation as I'm not sure there is a way for them to maintain contact with the rest of the puzzle mid-rotation. Carl P.S. I see the strike out effect didn't work... is there a way to strike out text in these forums?

!!!!!
Another set of puzzles for my "Must Buy" list.
(This isn't a 4x4 + 2x2, quite, because the circles can't be rotated independently, I think.)

I'm not wanting to get too far off topic but I thought most circle cubes didn't allow the circles to be rotated independently either. The only exception I think I'm aware of is the Circle Minx. And even there the independent rotation is referred to as "Unfortunate". Carl

好运解决问题 Good luck solving it. (for those who havn't translated his most recent one: Thank RyanZ translation, this series of Rubik's Cube I was developed together with another one, I am only responsible for design, my partner is responsible for the production and sales.
Crazy 4x4x4 cube Ⅱ changes in properties of the emergence of a new block (the kind of circle crescent shape), it is difficult to recover, at present I have not find the recovery method.)

WOW. I'm speechless.
I really look forward to being able to own these incredible puzzles. I never thought that I would be able to own one of these.
These past few months have certainly been incredible in terms of all the new, mass-produced puzzles. The Holey Megaminx, 2x2x3, Gigaminx, and this just to name a few!

How ya figure that? ^
I ordered a white one before the black came up on the site, and typed in my order postscript "Please send a black one. I do not want white."
Think it'll work out?

I just checked my PayPal receipt and I see it says "Invoice ID: 4" on it. Does that mean I was the forth to order one? I too ordered a white one as the black weren't up on the site at the time but I'm not particular. I'd be happy with either a black or a white one. If the economy ever turns around I might pick up both. I see on mf8 the black one also says "Quantity: 4". And I just noticed the link to the white one ( http://shop.mf8.com.cn/goods.php?id=4) ends with id=4. What's up with all these 4's? Carl P.S. Did I just find the true reason this is called the Crazy 4x4x4 cube?

I think you'll need a 6x6x6 (7x7x7), to make this. Or highly modify a 2x2x2 and a 4x4x4 cube by hand. And you gotta be Io or Aleh to be able to do stuff like that.

I'm pretty sure you could make the first one with a 4x4 old rubik's brand. just cut out the centers in a circle so they can move independently and then glue them to the center axis... the only problem is the 4x4 centers would most likely pop out!

That wouldn't work because it wouldn't allow deep-cut turns. You'd have to modify the core as well.

Wow! Daqing Bao Glad you made it to the forum. I'm also glad that cat's out of the bag. This is indeed a great puzzle. The prototype I played with turns very nicely and the designer was lucky to get it back. It really did want to slip into my bag. (I think three of us are still waiting for our copies by the way ) If it has been improved since I last got to play with it, I am sure it will be just fantastic! I think this is one puzzle you will all have fun with, but be warned, it isn't exactly what you think it is. There is a bit of a "trick" to it. But I'll let someone else tell that....someone who knows the terminology-917?

Ahhh why won't you tell katsmom? Who else has the authority in this forum to speak on newly produced puzzles, when you live so close to the source?
