How long have 7x7x7 and 8x8x8 been possible rankings?

I was just checking the members page and noticed that Georges and reeeech are 7x7x7s and Noah and Pantazis are 8x8x8s. When did that become possible?

I know it doesn't count. I just thought it was interesting, and I hadn't noticed until just then. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the timing. Oh well!

Why is it that you decided to increase the ranking limit if it's of no real value anyway?

IF the blocks keep going, it's possible to get 12x12x12

even though the current max is 11x11x11
