Design Updates

I'll be uploading various chunks of design updates over the next few hours. Please bear with me and hold off on any comments and error reports until I post a message in this thread claiming I am complete.

Okay, "complete". The whole site now uses 100% of the browser width (although the home page doesn't take full advantage yet). A bunch of layout quirks have been fixed. You should be able to use your cursor keys and Page Up and Page Down keys. I still haven't added in the option to hide the sidebar.

If you find any, please post here.

Oh, and if anyone who has IE8 and at least one other browser could do a once over and compare the various areas of the site on both browsers, that would be awesome! I've been intentionally avoiding upgrading to IE8 until these design quirks are worked out.

Fantastic, looks great on IE8, good work thanks. Will check on my iPhone...

EDIT: works well on iPhone/Safari too!

for me so does the width of the page change depending on what page I'm on.

That's an old version of the page being loaded from your browser cache. Clear it and try again.

olz, you're using Firefox? Which version? And is it only happening in the forum?

I use v1.5
but the problem is fixed now

On my computer I use Internet Explorer and...the Sidebar on the left is below the display box. The sidebar sort of bleeds into the display box. The page seems squished on my screen. Sorry... :oops:

i just recently started to get this error in the forums where the page is stretched out. (note the blue slider on the bottom)

Yikes. Okay, so first off, you've cleared the cache to ensure you have the latest design, right?

Is this still happening? Is it happening in other threads too? Does it happen in ALL threads, or in the same thread ALL the time? What version of Firefox is that? What does it look like when you scroll all the way over to the right?

I have this same error. I noticed it's only on pages in which Kelvin has posted. I wonder if there is something going on with his avatar or something along those lines. His posts end up being completely blank. It's odd that it's just from one poster. BTW it's with firefox 3.5.2 on Vista 64-bit.

Ouch.

I think this may have been a typo in the formatting code in my signature, which I've tried to clean up. Is this any better for you now?
