I don't know who won it, but that's a gem of a puzzle. Politechnika cubes are quite rare as i have seen, and a boxed one in that condition is certainly worth $62 in my opinion.

A Rubik's Cube in PC (Ideal or Arxon) with Italian description on the band for 54.89 euros. http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 0420342025Till today I always thought Mondadori was the Italian licensee and I didn't know about the above cubes. The seller confirmed that the band is intact although the cube must have been taken out of the box. Luckily I could afford to bid high. I can't wait to get it and examine the band closely.

I bought a very similar cube from you last DCD, Georges: from 1980, unsealed, with description. But mine was €5 ...........
Yesterday, I got a Pyrix, Pyrus, a very bad very big 3x3, a peter´s black hole, and a 10 billion barrel(or million, I don´t know) for free! A teacher at school was cleaning up, and knew of my addiction.

Well on the auction there is a question about the logo. It seems the first production run without a logo, and is from 1980 not 81. Any diffrents then?

There is a difference, but you can only be sure to get an original without logo when the PC is sealed. Here is the German edition of both:

That bidder 4***7 wins every auction she bids on because her price cap is unlimited. If she ever bids on your auctions, consider yourself blessed.

8 boxed Mag-Nif puzzles for $26.00 USD + shipping. Puzzles: Adam's Apple, The Brain Puzzler, Scrambled Egg 3D Jigsaw Puzzle, Labyrinth, Four Square Puzzle, Third Dimension I Puzzle, Curious Cross Puzzle, On the Level Puzzler. eBay Auction linkThree of the puzzles are out of production: Adam's Apple, The Brain Puzzler, and Scrambled Egg 3D Jigsaw Puzzle. I was bidding mostly for the Adam's Apple and The Brain Puzzler, but getting the rest of them was pretty nice as well.

I'm usually the Master of Disaster when it comes to eBay bidding - everything I touch spirals completely out of control! In my short time (9 months) of buying puzzles, I've already been called out on at least three separate occasions in this topic alone ( Items you don't see everyday or that sold for a high price) for overpaying. And NO, I'm not going to say which three items!

Hello everyone! Three days ago, I won a kit of rare puzzles with a very low price! - Rubik's Zigzaw Puzzle - Rubik's Dice - Rubik's Illusion - Rubik's Clock - plus a book Take a look: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0428093586I don't know how I found it, cause eBay search method didn't find almost no title words when auction was active, I think there was an eBay problem with the auction. Anyway, I'm very lucky spending about 3 or 4 times less than their real prices!!! This kind of luck, never more! I hope they could arrive sooner.

For the record, this listing was titled 2x2x3 CUBE ~ Rubiks Cube Custom Very Rare !!! and it sold for $333.00 USD. The item was sold from Malaysia. Oddly, the listing doesn't disclose a bid history or winner. It appears to be a massively oversized 2x2x3. Could we call it an Obese Tower??

it looks to me like someone extended and bandaged an eastsheen 4x4.
EDIT: Nope, im wrong. It falls short of the 4x4 dimensions. Maybe it's like Jin's Franken Tower?

SoCube is the one making the Rhinoceros 2x2, quite similar to my Inverted 2x2x2. He builds that on the 45mm Dian Sheng cube, and I would guess he did the same for this 2x2x3.
