It is possible to ask the forum software to notify you if you receive a PM, or if a message is posted in a particular forum, or if a response is posted in a particular thread. That's well and fine, but sometimes people's e-mail address accounts die off, and they don't (or can't) change their settings in the forum. What happens in this case is that the e-mail messages being sent to them from the forum bounce... right back to me. I got about 20 of them yesterday, most of which were addressed to the same member. To combat this, I'm hereby announcing that I reserve the right to disable your notifications if I believe your e-mail account is disfunctional. I'll try this for a while and see how it goes. If it turns out that switching off these notifications is consuming more of my life than I'm comfortable with, I'll probably change the "reply to" address on those e-mails and be done with the whole thing.
