I have quite a number of mods made mostly by people who are also members of this forum, but not exclusively. On the picture below every puzzle is a sample from a different maker, except the sticker variations in the next picture. For the moment I am sorting through some more interesting sticker variations: The one on the left is by Philip Knudsen, the one on the right is the 'original' Tartan Cube, after Jim Saxe & Dan Hoey. The one in the middle is from someone from this forum, but I can't remember from whom. Any help is appreciated.

The one in the middle may be from Italrubik. I believe he offered this sticker variation a while back.

katsmom wrote: Is that a Christoph's Magic Jewel in there? Enlighten me Georges, I was under the impression that those were mass produced at one time. Am I wrong? I think I'm vaguely remembering that from an old archive out of Berkley. Yes it is. They were all hand-modded by Christoph from Polish octahedrons (no I don't [yet] have a Polish Octahedron). Christoph had bought the remaining stock of these (several 100) ages ago when I only had enough cash to buy edibles. We were talking about this during IPP in Prague and he was complaining that it was very hard work to sand the pieces after having removed the tips. The stickers were made by some shop.

I remember sending him an email around 12 years ago asking if he still had any. I think I was a day late That and the flower design cube that he made (sorry, I can't remember the name) were two puzzles I really wanted at the time. I am surprised to see you don't have more mods than this. Umm, a post in another topic section made me assume you had many many more

I am still searching all my cubes for more makers.

I'm running out of drool (and cash) though so maybe it's better if you don't post one. Wasn't there just a Tony Fisher Mod on ebay that didn't sell? I had never seen that one in anyone's pictues before.

Yep, it's based off of a Dogic. The Nesting Cubes is one of the puzzles I could never understand until I found out the mechanism. And I agree, 190 pounds does seem low. And you say it didn't sell at all? katsmom wrote: What is that other one called. Front right. I'm quite sure that's based off of a Dogic as well. It's called the Rhomball.

Adam Zamora build a cube almost exactly like this and sold stickers for it. I bought some and made one for myself. The difference is in the last three few colors, which on mine are purple, light green and light blue.

On Georges photos he just showed, what is that puzzle on the left? It looks like a reverse-truncated Icosohedron or something... I don't see how it turns though...

The shape is called a stellated icosahedron. Tony Fisher just made the extentions look like there were a lot of 3x3´s ´nesting´. It´s called Nesting Cubes.

Oh, ok, that's what you guys were talking about, ok, well it looks pretty kool. Georges, you should show us your entire collection, I'm really curious as to how many puzzles the *famed* collector really has.

ok, I took a look at Georges collection, and he has a ton of puzzles! But one thing I noticed he doesn't have is a fully functional 3x3x5 cuboid. All the more reason for me to finish mine.

Does it work?

Those pics look like you have thousands of cubes(or atleast one thousand) did you ever count? Also, when did you start collecting?

I do know it Frank. I just don't want to see EVERYTHING Georges has. The pain of the little green man will be too much for my weak heart. I wouldn't live through till morning. Between Georges, Pantazis and you sites It's bad enough already. I've found this collecting to be an addiction. If I see anymore pictures I shan't make it through. Last year I emptied my teacher cabinet. Within a week it turned into my cube cabinet. That has now overspilled into my bookshelf (they had to go into the office and now get carried back and forth when I need them.) and the top of the china cabinet and the hutch. I've no room for more puzzles (even though I've ordered about 4 or 5 more) much less money I'm on my knees now Georges, please don't recharge your camera batteries and find a free weekend...

Dave Here's the post from Feb 2007 where Adam offered these stickers. The original post was from 2004, someone bumped it 3 years later in 2007 asking if Adam was willing to sell any, and he was. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2397And reading that thread, Georges, I believe this is where you may have gotten the stickers too

You search better than I do By they way for the new members of the forum: Adam doesn't visit the forum much anymore (if at all) and probably isn't offering these. You might try a PM I suppose, but please don't bump the thread asking him for these stickers. Dave

Dave Here's the post from Feb 2007 where Adam offered these stickers. The original post was from 2004, someone bumped it 3 years later in 2007 asking if Adam was willing to sell any, and he was. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2397And reading that thread, Georges, I believe this is where you may have gotten the stickers too I finally found the email that confirms that I bought mine from Fabio via Ebay on Feb 19th, 2007.

Doubleyou wrote: that 2x2x2 looking cube with missing corner wouldnt be a snake mod like my Little Brother Cube right? I think it's a 3x3 modification. Although I don't really understand which puzzle you're referring to? The 2x2 "anti-cube" is right next to a puzzle that appears to be a truncated 3x3 that looks similar to a Rubik's Snake.
