Is this it's "solved" state ? If so, the stickers don't match up....
Still, it takes a monk's patience to just cut and re-sticker the cube !

Yes it is in its solved state Thats the big challege of the tarten cube is that the stickers vary just slighty. :) Jake

Look great! What did you use for stickers? They're very nice.
I just recently decided to get into puzzle building a little bit and made my first puzzle (a siamese cube) last night. I picked it because it looked like a very easy starter. It works well and looks pretty good, but the stickers are just ok, not great.

Have you considered blunting the corners of the star prism a bit, so that it forms a hexagon?

Thanks for all of your responses. to answer some of your questions. i used a UFO for the star prism. and i got color vinal stickers precut into squares, from there i cut them into the shapes i need likr the triangles. i also have about 10 colors of just sheets so i can cut and create different shapes like the shapes on the star. i did use three different cubes to get the 3 layer cubes a white one a grey one and a black one. not pictured is the other color combination you can get out of the three cubes. i dont think i will cut the corners the pieces were hard enough to make. i might in the future try to make one with cut corners, the only issue with that is it starts to look like the cheese when you do that. i have a few more sticker variations that i wil post later today, if anyone wants to trade or buy please email me or just post. Thank you all for your responses

Is it difficult to take apart a UFO puzzle without damaging the mechanism? How about reassembling the puzzle? Did you have to modify the square 1 pieces to fit the UFO Mechanism?
Thanks for the great pictures

hey dodd i knew you wanted to see pics! no the UFO is quit easy to take apart just a little force. as for assembly the pieces just snap back in. you do have to make alot of cuts on the square 1 pieces and if you mess up 1 entire piece, if ruined you can only mess up 4 times. if you look at the side of the square 1 pieces and then at the UFO pieces you can see what you have to cut, thats the only clue to how to make this puzzle. hope you like the pics

Nice looking puzzles! Are the white/gray/black cubes made from cubes of different colored plastic or are they painted in some way? They look like colored plastic.

How does it look with all centers rotated 180 degrees? That would seem to appear more 'solved' than the solved state.

Adam, could you please explain in detail how to go about disassembling a Rubik's UFO puzzle? I'd appreciate that.
