Please join me in welcoming Jin H Kim to the forum moderation team.
Jin has been with the forum since it's TwistyMegasite days, dating all the way back to October 9th 2001. (Incidentally he was given moderator permissions on October 9th 2008, his 7th anniversary with the forum!) He has been a trusted member and valuable contributor throughout that span, and Wayne and I both agree that he will make a great moderator.
Thanks for accepting these new responsibilities, Jin!
Sandy

He's already moved a topic from the wrong board! I wondered what that 'JinBot' was trawling through the topics.

Now they just have another set of hands to help Great choice guys! Yes, and they have done a great job. But unfortunately they might not always have the time to moderate, being tied up in activities with greater priority. There have been calls previously [ 1, 2, 3] for an active member to become a moderator so as to actively prune the forum and do this and that with regards to administration. As you say, Sandy and Wayne now have an extra pair of hands to help which is great. Thankfully not much moderation needs doing around here as Twisty is still a relatively civilised forum, although perhaps longer standing members would argue not so much as before, hence introduction of moderation. This is also a step towards Twisty's further improved future as suggested by DLitwin in this thread. Thanks.

Jin, the keys are hanging by the side door, and help yourself to anything in the fridge. This is definitely a great time for us all and a very long time coming.

It's great that he is taking over a little bit of the load. What is Jin's new responsibilities or shouldn't I ask that?

Looks like I missed this thread through my first glance at the forum today. And quickly the ball is dropped. Thank you everyone for your kind words. I hope that my job here will be as uneventful as watching grass grow since we all get along so well, right? Hmmm... This should probably be moved to off-topic...

Considering this has something to do with the maintenance of the forum, I think it belongs here.

When political and religious threads combine they have been known to reach out of the computer screen and punch moderators in the teeth. After the great dental crisis of '97 it was mandated that dental benefits be given out along with moderator positions.

When I first saw this thread it was halfway down the page in general topics and I was uneasy about bumping it just to say this, now I don't have that problem so here it is:
Congratulations Jin.
