Hi Guys, As mentioned earlier, it might be helpful to have a materials directory where people can locate resins, silicone, abs card, etc sorted by country/area. Ideally if we had a wiki, this would be cleaner, but a post will have to do for now. Struggling for a standard format, and wouldn't mind suggestions. An example of an entry would be: Country: Australia State: New South Wales City: Sydney Address: 25 - 27 Green St, Banksmeadow NSW 2019 Business Name: Era Polymers Website: http://www.erapol.com.auPolyurethane Resins: Conathane UC-30 Silicon Rubbers: Dow Corning 3110 Card Products: More Info: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3111&hilit=conathaneThis suggested block is in reverse address order so that a country/region can be located first, then the known available materials shown. As it would be a directory, I would take any posts using the agreed block format and insert it into the original thread to keep it organised. Eventually if we get a wiki, it would be moved there. Perhaps we don't need a directory at all. I see what you guys think.

I think it's a good idea to have all of this info in one place. What's the status of getting a Wiki? Any word from Sandy?

So our hands tied until someone can get a hold of Sandy? Right? So what I'm saying is that we better gather all of this useful informationup and put it some where until someone contacts Sandy. This is the only one I know right now(below) besides this topic. I know there are more but I think this topic has them in. viewtopic.php?p=117382#p117382

Well kind of. The post can be moved into a wiki friendly format later so we aren't tied down too much to producing the content at least.

Thanks professor5x5.
So does this block format work for everyone? What about plastic card modders? Does it suit your materials?

I think that this is a great format for stores. This is a great idea and I'm sure it will help many people. You might want to make another one for websites. The format could be:
Country Website Building materials sold here

The existing block format has a line for a website. So that would be used for that. If the website is mail only (no pickup), I suppose only the country and region would be appropriate as the address would be of no value and be left out.

Country: Germany Business Name: MPV - Modellpferdeversand Website: http://shop.modellpferdeversand.de/oxid ... t/cnid/142German reseller of Apoxie Sculpt and other Modelling Clays Should this list include websites for the supply of adhesive sheets for stickers, ... ?

What are the typical materials for card modders (i'm not one so not too familiar).
I imagine the list is:
* Plastic Card Sheets * Sculpt Putty
What else is a common material used with this modding method?

Just throwing this out there: Simpler is always betterJesse's format is an improvement, but I think we can crunch it further. I was thinking, A simple flash app (which if needed I can do) that would have main categories which can be selected to show all the sellers of said product. The links will simply have the name of the provider and the websites will contain things such as contact information and address. Here is an example I made

I like using a full address-based system for stores, like sausage's original one and mine. If we can get people to participate, most major cities could have an entry.
And Silverpotato, though you just said that simpler is better, you also implied that we should used a Flash based system. How is that simpler?
And also, IMO, simpler might be better, but it is not always more helpful.
