When I go on a trip for a period of time (weekend or a week) then when I return I forget where the last post I read it on, which page I read it on and I really dislike that. I wish there was some way of letting a person know what page the new posts start on without having to remember or guess the page number. The perfect example would be.

Items you don't see everyday or that sold for a high price

Not saying it's a solution - but if you know what day you last read/logged into TP - I look at the timestamp on the posts and kinda go from there.

Yeah, I too wish reading "new posts" (via the new post link ontop) were a bit easier. Sometimes when I don't actually click any of the new posts threads and log out - they won't be there the next time I log in.

I actually have to go through the forum and search any threads that have the 'new post' icon on it.

Just don't click on the thread title but instead on the little orange arrow/page icon next to the thread title and you'll get directly to the first unread post.

Stefan is referring to the View first unread post icon, which looks like this...

Click that icon instead of the thread title to go directly to the first unread post on a particular thread.

(The icon isn't very self-explanatory, and it's small, so I bet a lot of people overlook it.)

You'll really benefit from this feature if you're not using it already!
