Hi All,I can happily report that Detective Bayliss,Homicide-Life On The Streets,is still trying to solve The Rubiks 4th Dimension cube in seasons 4 and 5. I was going to post about the octopus, but some one beat me to it,Harry.

In the movie 'Brick' there is a character known as 'the brain', who is seen to be solving a cube. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0393109/

In Norway they aired the Evergood Coffe comercial, and a rubiks cube animation created a one sided photo of a coffe cup with "evergood" in it:) Maybe you have seen it.

In Wall-E or however it is spelled in the first 10 minutes at one point when he opens his lunch pale there is a mixed 3x3. Also I was in Las Vegas this weekend and at the hotel Paris in the bakery there is a cake that is like a 3x3, not sure if it is intended to be though

I love that show, and i can't believe i missed the episode I've been recording them on my computer, I could try to posting it somewhere for you, or you could always use a torrent site to get it. I'm behind on the episodes though, I think I'm only on episode 6 and they're on like 10 or so. Excellent show, overall very good writing, although occasionally they write themselves into a corner and have to have a character do something out of character. -d

I went to walmart the other day, and while looking at the cubes to see if they had anything new. I looked at one of the cubes' packaging. Attachment:

There was only one cube left with this on the packaging. I had never noticed it before. I thought it strange that they have the old color scheme on brand new packaging. Also, on the TV show "Good Eats" ...in the cabinet. Attachment:

Well spotted in each case! But I don't think that cube matches any official Rubik's color scheme, new or old. The old (Ideal) color scheme was green-opposite-yellow, the new one is green-opposite-blue. The one in your picture has all three colors adjacent, none on opposite faces!

It appears to be episode three of the season, so I'll be sure to watch when it is aired out here.

The cube part actually kinda pissed me off because to me it seemed like they were implying that all videos like that were fake and as all of us know, both are very real events.

Maybe the biggiest cube in the world. The statue is located at the city of Kuerle in Xinjiang province of China.
