it seems that the 5x5 siamese fisher did was missing components. His had to be missing the Center pieces, in the inside. I think you guys call it the cross piece.

He was missing these on the binding shaft, or, his siamese 5x5 wasnt bound together at the right size, too far a distance between the 2 for the sticekr spacing to be correct.

I think that is the main reason for the two level overlap. One level is way too flimsy I would guess.

But, to make it this solid, the column parts MUST be glued to the others in the same cube. My brother dropped it off of my desk which is 3 feet high (about 1 meter) and it landed at a most vulerable point. It did not seperate.

When using glue, get yourself some Low Viscosity Cyanoacrylate. The kind i got, heats up and melts the plastic together somehow. Actually gets HOT when it gets on your fingers. The brand i use is BOSTIK. i got it on ebay. 1lb for $25. retails for 90

If you use Thick (high viscosity) glue, the bond is not as strong in my experience. For thick, i prefer a Cyanoacrylate called MAXI-CURE. Most US hobby shops sell it. You can order some at http://www.mountainwoodcarvers.com go to paints and finishes, page 2.
