I am about ready to make an octaminx from a Pyraminx. What is the best way to safely dismantle a Pyraminx? Can it be done without breaking it? How do you put it back together?

You can either pull off one of the corners to reveal the screw underneath or slightly rotate the puzzle at an axis point and then turn another one of the axes so that the tongue on one of the pieces starts to pop out. It's not difficult at all and my Pyraminxes have assembled/disassembled easily. Of course that was with the earlier white Pyraminxes. I haven't tried to disassemble one of the new Meffert ones but then again I haven't had a need to in almost 20 years.
