[Moderator]I have split this topic off from Eitan's thread[/Moderator]

I am currently working on a cubic version of Eitan's Star, and I like how this mod reveals hidden pieces. I have glued hard Styrofoam to the 8 corner areas, and I then used thin sheet metal to cut it along the planes of the puzzle. I think that this might not work very well, but I think that I'm not cutting too deep into it.

Thank you for the kind words, everyone! I am so incredibly proud of this puzzle, and I can't wait to show you a video of it turning, because it turns really, really well for a puzzle of its size.

It looks so much like a blob of lumpy Styrofoam that people will say it's fake, so I am waiting to post pictures until I finish the puzzle. There is also a chance that I'll change my mind on what to make it into, as this has been the case before with some of my designs.

I am sorry, but you DO know that this does not help support your claim? Every time we ask you for pictures to back things up you back out saying either "tomorrow" or "it isn't finished" or "photo's aren't working".

If you would refrain from comments like these, promising things that you cannot back up on, that would definitely help. When you have finished something and have pictures of it, then is a much better time to make a claim.

Especially on this particular topic to me you really came across as if you wanted to rain on Eitan's parade. :(

Let us be happy for him accomplishing this, and then when you have the actual proof to show us we will be happy for you just as well.

Thank you for saying this before I did! Why make unfounded claims in Eitan's celebration post?

You should aspire to be like Eitan! He works on designs quietly and makes announcements when they are done and posts absolutely magnificent pictures to show his finished work. That is how it should be done - gentlemanly and dignified. No one has ever accused him of making false claims!

Mods, can we please split this topic away? It's stepping on one of `the great TP reveals`. It forces all sorts of responses, including unpredicted things like, it has even forced MDW to respond in this thread (which he had no other option). Great work by the way MDW :D , but you deserve your own topic (and your own reveal).

I have split this topic off from Eitan's thread
I wrote there:

First of all: Wonderful achievement Eitan!
What a dedication!
Good luck in California, too! :) (Little puzzle: How do I know? )

Second: This wonderful thread got somehow distracted by other posts.
I decided to split two new topics off:

E-Cube Designer X's claims

Modern-Day Warrior's contribution that he is working on a cubic version of Eitan's Star

@Burgo: I had decided to do this, already, when I read your post.

@ECDX: (I'm borrowing this nice abbreviaton from1SAN3  ) You have started so many new topics, where you inform us about your intentions / work in progress.
Why did you feel compelled to hijack this thread for your announcement?

@all: I assure you that there are nicer things to do on Sunday mornings than shuffling around posts
