I designed this cube to corner cut at +45 and -44 degrees. The corner twists that the Shuang Ren has do not occur in my model of type 6, because the corners latch on the inside, and cannot catch on the outside. I still prefer my type 0, but it seems like the cubing community would probably prefer a cube that does not ring as you turn it, which type 0 unexpectedly does, and rather surprisingly loud. This is due to the double-stacked springs in the center pieces.
This is my Type 6, now presented after my Type 0 turned out to make a surprisingly loud ringing noise.

The weird look is what makes it a speedcube, right? So no one should care.

Would the ringing be fixed by lubrication? Lubix fixes the springs catching when lubing the whole core.

It is not caused by slipping springs, but most likely by the resonating shape of the puzzle itself. I tested it with Maru lube, and it was EVEN LOUDER! I think the spiky pieces are too heavy, and they move weird.
Any other guesses as to why Type 0 sounds so weird?

If it is a good cube, people will still use it. Some people complained that the Maru CX3 was too loud, but that was their only complaint about it.

As for the noise, could be just be because you have 2 springs? Why exactly do you need 2 springs?

In type 0, the large centerpieces can move in and out relative to the small inner centerpieces, so I used stiffer springs for the inner pieces, and softer springs for the outer large centerpieces.

I understand what you did, I'm just trying to figure out how this is better than a single spring.
