The idea arose when I saw that there are 'fake cuts' on SmaZ's 'curvy metal' puzzle.

What if one could unbandage those cuts and make a curvy copter cuboid? The number of pieces on the face would be numerous and small though, so I think that helicopter cuts should be used.

This would be based on Tony Fisher's Helichop.

Of course, the smaller edges could be given rotational axes similar to the quartet puzzle.

Hi, this is my first post on this forum, I've been a member for a while, but was a reading member up until now, there are just too much interesting topics...

But anyway, I have been thinking about this too. Let's call the helipcopter cube/curvy copter a 2x2x2. I think, that the way a little chop works, proves that a 2x2x1 curvychop/helichop or even a 2x1x1 helichop/curvychop could work. It might be quite a bit bigger than the original ones though...
