Hello, I've recently purchased two 3x3x3s to make a Siamese puzzle from. I'm probably going to be making no.1 from this thread, but am wondering what the best method would be for making it. I've thought sanding the outside edge of one edge of one cube and glueing either side of it to two adjacent corners on the other, in order for it to be stable (hopefully), easy as possible to make for my first mod and allow just the one row to be bandaged.

Basically, I'd like to know if that's a good way to go about it, or if anyone has any other suggestions, preferably just using glue.

Thanks in advance :)

Edit: I've added two photos of what I'm talking about, because I don't think what I said was very clear... imagine I've filed down the edge of the edge piece:
