I've been using search to find different topics on recommended cubes for modding specific puzzles, however those recommendations don't seem to be explained a lot. So I'd like to see what the modders of this forum have to say about different cubes for modding in general.
I'm looking for your basic 2x2-5x5 for modding.
You can include as many recommendations as you like, but please give advantages/disadvantages to using specific cubes for modding.
For example, one might say: (read in a different topic) "In general, I recommend an Eastsheen 4x4 for most 4x4 mods; unless you're planning a mod that involves rotating the center pieces, then I'd recommend a Rubik's 4x4 as it allows for center piece rotation."
Let's hear your thoughts!
