Inspired by this topic I decided to do something with Scrabble tiles on a 3x3x3. Unfortunately, the ones I had were just too big to fit onto a standard 57mm cube, and I couldn't be bothered to sand them all down. So, I got Oliver to make some stickers instead: Attachment:

Each face consists of six different three letter words, three across and three down, for a total of 36 words. When scrambled, not only do you have to solve the cube (including centre orientation), but also work out the 3x3 word squares as well. This is a very difficult puzzle to solve if you do not know the original order for the words. Oliver says he is going to offer the stickers for sale on his website.

I don't know if the solved state in the pictures is the only one, but I suspect due to the difficulty of constructing 3x3 word squares, that it is unique. As to how many different words can be made, there are about 1,000 three letter English words - see here - this is the list I used to make the 3x3 word squares, using Excel and some trial and error.

What is the detail content of the copyright of Scrabble ? I suppose the design of the tile and the allocation of the number value to each letter would be their copyright. So, as I've used the same number values, and rounded corner "tiles", I expect to be writing my next post from a jail cell

What is the detail content of the copyright of Scrabble ? I was meaning the name. If for example you advertise 'Scrabble stickers for Rubik's Cubes' or 'Scrabble Rubik's Cube for sale' that might be an issue. Unlikely to even get noticed but just something to bear in mind.

Perhaps it should be called "Rabble Cube" or something?
