All the 4D twistypuzzles threads floating around recently have sparked an idea - since that forum is based on the MATHEMATICAL definition of a fourth dimension, here's a forum for the PHYSICAL fourth dimension:

And one of Ender's design challenges for Oskar gave me an idea.


I'm quoting one of Oskar's Design Challenge forums. I think it may be a good idea - incorporating motors and/or automated moving parts via circuits and wires thru the core...into an already 3D twisty puzzles, so that in the concept of PHYSICS Fourth Dimensions.. *suspicious glance in all directions* as the motors spin you need to time correctly the moves. Oskar, are you on this forum? Please answer?

There are actually a few puzzles in the game Cogs (a sliding-puzzle-game mentioned somewhere on here previously) that use this idea. You have to maneuver gears into place so that a motor gear turns them, and the arms attached to the gears will cause bells to be struck to create a simple tune.
