Here is what I've been working on this weekend thanks to an idea of Jared's posted here. I initially thought this wouldn't turn very well but now I'm not so sure. Its actually fudged less then my other Slice-turn-only Mixup Master Skewb. And as I had already worked out the geometry for that puzzle I had all the tools I needed to work this one out. I hope to get this into SolidWorks in the next several weeks. Enjoy, Carl

Sigurd wrote: But as it is not a finished puzzle, it shouldn't be in "new puzzles". I agree 100%. In fact I would have sworn I was in the Puzzle Building and Modding section when I posted this last night. Odd... Would a mod please move this thread? Thanks, Carl

I don't think so but due to the way the edges are cut you could make the core of this puzzle a 2x2x2 without changing the shape of the slidey triangles. Not knowing how well this will turn I think my best chances are to start with the slice-turn-only version which I think would actually be the harder puzzle. Carl

Rentlix wrote: What are the dots near the center of the picture? You are looking end on at some cylinders I put on some references axes that I'll need to get this geometry into SolidWorks. That also explains the other odd lines seen in the image. Carl
