I am working on my idea for my next puzzle modification, but i need perfectly square cubies. Previously I used the outer layers of C4U's 3x3x4 but for this next project I would have to buy 3 of them which can get expensive quickly. I was considering just using 3x3 pieces buy cutting them and filing the gap with apoxie sculpt. But I was wondering if anyone has a easier/cheaper way of doing this.

You can buy 1x1x1 cubes on ebay (here and here) but I don't think they will be cheap enough unless you can negotiate cheaper postage for multiple buys.

When I made my 3x3x5...I used KO 1x3x3's they cost me around 9(3 each) dollars from (insert site we're not suppose to mention here)
