I couldn't find the patent either. Is it registered in the US?

I can't imagine how one piece can hold on to all 602 cubies. Nor can I imagine what good it does to "pillow" the geometry of the cubes.

Any working prototype pictures to show off?

I think he may have something. The cubes with odd-numbered sizes have exactly as many pieces (minus one) as if you tried to make one of these out of, say, a bunch of sugar cubes.

The even-numbered ones mean that there is a lower-order of the number of required pieces.

It also appears that the ones larger than 7x7 will be of a slightly warped appearance to facilitate turning as well as to solve the pressure problems with the extreme corner pieces that Mr. Jackson seems to be having with his 6x6.

Good ideas. Next: fabrication and manufacture.

Maybe you all can reinvent the Dogic, too?

eg Here's a 7x7x7 layout with bulge to prevent overhanging pieces.

Still lots of work to build it. The overhanging pieces isn't the only issue!

Dan Gosbee did some digging onto this dude here is what he posted on the speedcubing forum on yahoo:

Please be advised that olympicube.com is a spam outfit producing a
clone cube. They have no patent rights on the cube nor do they have
any patents pending...

Currently under investigation by Seventowns..

DONT NOT REPLY TO THEIR EMAILS as there is a trojan program in the
background which captures info from your machines.

So i dunno but that doesn't sound good.

Hmmm... yes this site contains the same info that was in an email I received and I'm sure most of you all did too. This is an interesting concept indeed but the mail reads like the idea is working and available.

Is there any physical progress with this that you can report or is it vapourware?

Dan's Statemanet is very bold, at least the pictures for the outside is a valid sollutions for the overhanging pieces. So at least they know somethinh about puzzle engeneering. As for as the clonce cube statement, a clone cube a puzzle that uses the Rubik's machinsime, lelt wait and se is there is a patent number.

I don't know if it's real or not but it's very simple to me. If you build it I'll buy it (price within reason). Let's see some actual pictures of the prototypes.

Would people actually want an 11x11x11 cube? It would either have to be huge or have very small pieces for one thing, for another it would take ages to solve.

Hey, I'm confused. What is the photo in the top post? It's not an 8x8 cube. The photo I see is a yellow and black 3x3. What's going on?
