Good evening to all, I was browsing through some old jpegs and came across a few that I haven't found that much info on and hope someone here can. On http://www.puzzle-shop.de there are picts of the following: -Draken (What is this? anyone played with it? tell me more..) -Offcenter Cube (looks like a bandaged Fisher's) -Nova or Supernova (Strange indeed) I also want to see if anyone can provide more info on these: -Master Pyramorphix -3x3x3 Tetrahedron I'm looking for some new projects to help during my "break time" from a few prisms I'm working on. More to follow when I make some REAL progress... Man, I need a Guinness... ;) later, _pink

Nova/Supernova - I am positive they are identical except they may be sticker variants. Making one is fairly trivial. The puzzle is made up of 4 flat triangular pieces, 4 pointed triangular pieces, and 6 custom made square pieces. The squares are nothing more than prism shaped build-ups that are glued or screwed on. http://www.puzzle-shop.de/super-nova.htmlThe solved state would seem to be as shown in the link above, except I'm guessing that the pointed triangular pieces must be in the correct position and orientation relative to the colored triangular sticker next to it. http://www.puzzle-shop.de/nova.htmlIn the case of the nova, I am guessing that the pointed triangle represents the colors which the prism pieces must be matched up to. Also the Nova is clearly in mid-twist since it is based on the Skewb mechanism. Buy a Skewb and a Skewb Diamond from Mefferts.com and mix them together. Afterwards make your prism prosthetics. Now resticker. Voila, you get a Nova AND a supernova.

Draken - Where is the Draken? Offcenter Cube - You guessed it, it's a bandaged Fisher's Cube.
Master Pyramorphix - It's a 3x3x3 buildup. 3x3x3 Tetrahedron - Isn't it the same thing as the Master Pyramorphix?

Ok, right about the offcenter cube, I can see the nova/supernova from a skewb (with a bit of imagination) and I thought the draken looked vaguely pyraminx like (I guess the pict I have is in rotation, Does anyone have a pict of the Draken in its solved state?) but I'm still unsure about the Masterpyramorphix (which, after a bit of surfing, is in fact the 3x3x3 tetra) Can anyone provide a bit more direction for me on the creation of this puzzle?

Come to think of it, there would be one issue to contend with. Since the Skewb uses a 4 arm spider, 4 pieces always remain in the fixed position. So the only question would be whether the flat triangles or the pointed triangles are fixed, and which of the two puzzles gets what as their fixed points.
It would be logical if one was flat triangle fixed and the other was pointed triangle fixed, because that would spare the puzzle maker from having to either buy extra puzzles and waste pieces or having to make/modify existing pieces a bit.
