I was wondering if anyone knows what the mechanism is like on these larger cubes. Is it like the 2x2x2 cube but larger? Are the cubes solid all around unlike the original that has 3 semi sides. Any information would be helpful.

The interior of a Rubik's Super Cube is very similar to a Rubik's Pocket Cube. However, the Sheen 2x2x2, which Andreas sells, is something different. I have not been able to open it. I would love to see a pic of one. Here is a photo of the three sizes of 2x2x2s: Sheen is in the middle:



The Sheen cube has a really nice mechanism. It turns smoothly, and even it you stretch it and abuse it, like I did trying to disassemble it, it works well.

is the big rubiks 2x2x2 the same size as a standard 3x3x3?

What are the first 2 from the left? I know that I got mine from Andrejs that does have a purple side (thats the middle one right!!!).

Is that first 1 Rubik's from the left? (duh)

When did it come out?

How did I miss it?

The first in the photo is the new Rubik's Super Cube. It is the same size as a Rubik's 3x3x3 cube. You can buy them from Hessport as a do-it-yourself kit. Same size as a Harry Potter cube.

The second puzzle is Andreas's 2x2x2 from Sheen. Colors are red, white, green, as shown, plus yellow, blue, and purple. I have a couple of extras if anybody wants one. Email me for details.

The one on the right is, of course, a Rubik's Pocket Cube.
