I can't see the girl version.. not loading.. however I really like yours compared to the original! The two colors and also the difference in pieces.. for some reason that appeals to me more :)

Well done!

I just realized how simple this would be to make with a V-cube style 4x4. All that you would have to do is truncate the center pieces to be flush with the already present internal sphere. Very cool SmaZ.

It seems that the ball is smaller in this one that Tony's original.

SmaZ it would be nice to know whether you were granted permission to sell this or not, as I believe this is one of the puzzles on Tony's do not make list.

Because this site respects Tony Fisher's request not to sell certain designs he has made, we had to delete SmaZ's announcement to sell this puzzle.
I have contacted Tony before and are following his wish.
We respect the excellent contributions by SmaZ to the twistypuzzles community, but we respect at the same time a request as this one from Tony Fisher. Here is the link to Tony's list.

Ball in a cube,

Run through google translator below I know it's not perfect, I didn't want to change anything though:
Recently, some strange, some people asked me why I would do such a rotation is not smooth transformation of Rubik's cube, which is not contrary to my previous works?

Indeed, I have always thought that Rubik's cube must be rotated smoothly and be fun to play.

Some of the unique shape of the Rubik's Cube, due to congenital defects, simply would not be able to overcome the rotation smooth.
We can only choose to do or not do.

Ball in a cube, I think that the appearance is very nice cube, even if it is a congenital defect, it can not smooth rotation, and I still do it out. Ornamental as the Rubik's Cube, the focus is on the watch.

Then I found that the rotation is not working, or can be overcome with the hand cube skills
Basically not smooth due to the internal edge block central angle block collide made.
Solve: Right-handed when the rotation of the outer layer, should be fixed and four corner blocks, keep the whole layer as a plane, try to remain flat, the left hand with the thumb and middle finger grip the center part of the ball, doing basically reduce the edges the block central angle blocks collide with each other, it becomes smooth.

Finally, this version of the ball in a cube, not a perfect design, but as a beautiful ornamental Cube is good, just need to add a little skills. After all, I can restore it :)
