Blindfolded solving is so insanely intense, I could never even think about trying. I get nervous just talking about it.
I used to think that way...until I tried. If you just take the time to try, and your 3x3x3 speedsolving skills are adequate, I can almost guarantee that you'll be able to do it. For example, a friend and I decided to start learning how to blindfold solve a couple of weeks ago(this way, we could keep each other accountable). Although we were learning different methods, we were both able to succeed in learning to cube blindfolded.
I think the same applies to any aspect of cubing, or any other hobby in this case. If you just take the time to try, you'll probably get it. I think most people are disappointed by the fact that they are not fast at it. Hey, that's why you practice. It just takes time to get fast. Look at me, I've been cubing for a little over a year and have only averaged under 20 a few times. Does that stop me from doing something I love. NO.
Just try it.
