i'm currently using the following alg for solving the r permutation. this swaps ubr with ubl, and ur with uf. however i always dread seeing the r perm, i feel so slow at it, what alg do you use for it?

(R' U2 R U') y' (R' F R B' R' F' R) d' R U'

That's a little better, still holding out hope for something better.

There's
F L U L'- F L U'- F U F U'F'- L'F2
U' R' U2 R U'F'- L F R'F'L'F U'R
R'2 F R U R'U'R'U - F'R'F U'F'R'

Personally I use the one rxdeath show(in the quote), I can get about 2.8s with that one!

it's about half way down the page.

it's one of my favorite algs.

just for the record everyone loves this alg/perm but i also hate it and its a slow one for me, for some reason the other one is sub 2 for me, but this one is usually close to or over 3 seconds for some reason.

The video boxes are all black for me. What's wrong and how can I fix it? (I'd really like to see these videos...)

Hmmm, no way anymore to get quicktime legitimate without getting iTunes.
This is a major drawback!! Oh yes i know i can always uninstall iTunes afterwards. But it's a bit like having the spamware on ur pc and then get rid of it, instead of staying clean al the way ;-)

Personaly i find divx the best format to display on webpages if vids are needed. One can get divx codec easily for any platform :D

I recently reinstalled my computer and this time avoided installing quicktime. But I do see the videos anyway. Aren't they displayed by Adobe Flash?

That's my algorithm

I think I came up with that one, and introduced it at the Horace Mann Spring tournament in 2005. I LOVE IT!

try this

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/win.html

click on free download, then on the left it gives you 2 options Quicktime 7.1.5 with itunes for windows 2000/XP or the second option Quicktime 7.1.5 for windows 2000/XP. choose the latter one.

I do have quicktime though, and quicktime videos (on yahoo video search) always work for me...

I don't know what the problem is.

Do you have the Adobe Flash player? Like I already said above, I think that's what plays those videos.

It is flash player. Go to Adobe's site to download the latest version.

Ah! I thought I had it, but I guess I only have Adobe Reader...I'm downloading it now. That's most likely the problem. Thanks guys.

I love doing U2s now because I do the first U with my pointer finger then the second U again with my middle finger. it's really smooth and definitly lowered my average a bit.

I have made a video of my fastest solves I have on tape 15.58. do a few double turns in the beginning.
