Post subject: One handed Algs:Posted: Sun Mar 04, 2007 3:18 pm

So here's my issue. I can't solve the cube one-handed in under 1 minute. I can get like, 1:20:00 and below, but I'm finding I"m VERY slow with some of my LL algs (PLL) (I can solve the cube normally between 20-30 seconds fairly consistently)

My question is this:
Has anyone heard/do you know if there are a list of algs that are more suited for one-handed solves instead of two handed solves? I'm just using some of the standard 2-handed solve algorithms, but I find some of them don't lend themselves very well to that whole situation.

I'm definitely open to suggestions!

Optimize for quarter turns; try to use as few half turns as you can. Also, try to avoid turns of the F and B faces (especially B) as much as possible.

Here's a better H-perm:
R L U2 R' L' y R' L' U2 R L
Or, if you don't want to use any regrips:
R2 U2 R U2 R2 U2 R2 U2 R U2 R2

Good luck!

Algs with only RULD are usually good for OH because all moves can be done easily without regripping. Using double layer turns is a good way to reduce cube rotations, for example R' F R is really easy to do as l' U l. (I use my right hand, for left it's L F' L' and r U' r'.

Y-perm: R2 U' R' U R U' z'y' L' U' R U' R' U' L U
