Great idea.
But I only participated in one tourney and I was a full minute slower than I am now.

Maybe if there's a competition in the east coast in the summer I'll go. We need competitions in China.

That would make me the guy with the biggest numbers.

No, I'm not.
But not that much faster.
I was a visitor on a games convention, where the german championships took place in 2005. Because of my interest, Ron asked me if I could solve the cube.
I knew that I would be slow.
But nevertheless I participated. I even had to borrow me a cube. Thx to Ron for giving me his cube.
After that I cubed more regularly and got faster.
One broken hand later, I began to cube again.
Now I'm a "thirty-something" guy.
Maybe I should use more than about 6 algs.

Sounds like my Magic time.
I put my name down to compete in the Magic, but I broke my Magic a month or two before the competition, so when it came to the day, I got called up and didn't have a Magic. Dan Harris asked for a Magic and I think I borrowed Jasmine Lee's. So when I came to take my times, I was solving tentatively, as I was scared of breaking someone else's Magic and I was out of practise.
I should have a new one by Tuesday next week, UK Record, here we come!

Joseph happens to be one of my best friends; he learned a CF method intuitively with guidance from his father. He knew how to solve one before I did, and without him, I'd probably not be here...
Anyhow, he never bothered to practice to get fast. We dragged him along to last year's Caltech Winter, and so his average is in the records...
Just defending my friend ; he's simply not a speedcuber.
By the way, the PHP image is cool; is there any chance you'd reveal your code?

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but is there anyway to shrink the size of the signature down a bit? I find it mildly annoying when there is a short reply to a post and the signature is far bigger. If not, no big deal, just a suggestion really.

I agree with you Darryl. Cool for a web page or something, but much too much for a forum signature. You could right click and block images from that host.
Does it generate traffic to speedcubing.com on every hit?
Also, it looks like you might have a bug if someone has competed in an event but not the 3x3x3. Also, you're not removing the character escapes from the name before you put it in the image.
Also, this name looks a bit off http://dreamweaver.darkjudgement.net/im ... entier.png

Thanks Brian, for this very relaxing blocking tip

Scott, I trust you asked Ron whether it's ok you do that? And I trust you at least cache the data so you don't waste Ron's bandwidth by requesting the full page and throwing away most of it over and over again?

I'm working on caching the data, and I sent an email to Ron a while ago, never got a response though.
