Hey, OK, So I kinda want to learn the Guidmond method, or more or less, just understand it. There are 2 sites that I know that explains it, neither are in 100% perfect English and I just don't understand it.
Could someone explain it to me? Maybe give me a scramble and a solve so I understand it better? Thanks in advance.

I don't think I've ever seen that method mentioned yet. I assume its for a 3x3x3 puzzle?
What are the websites?
What is the general concept behind the solve?
Never mind, quick search brought it up on google...
For anyone who is curious, its a 2x2x2 method and here is a website that (at first glance) is in english
http://www.hio.hen.nl/~s98134/rubik/2x2_guimond.html
Is this one of the sites you had n00b?

It's a method for the 3x3x3, which was adapted for the 2x2x2 by the owner of your mentioned site.
It is a corner first method.

Thanks for the correction Q. I've not tried a corner first method yet. I may give it a shot some time soon.

His method is a pretty interesting Corners First method and I use it for 2x2 solving.
First you orient all the corners with an average of 4 moves, separate them to top and bottom colors, then final permutations.
From there, it's a pretty straightforward place the edges in the top and bottom, then use these algs to position the midges.

PS (all this is if I actually remember it correctly ... I can't read french and I don't have the page I translated anymore)

I tried that method to help with my 2x2 (cause I'm trying to find a good method for it) and I failed. The website was a bit confusing for me, I guess.

Your step 1, though it accomplishes the correct goal, is not part of this method.
I will apply the same scramble to my cube with Red on Top and White in Front (please make sure to specify that when you start with specific colors cause I'm guessing)
This is what I got.
z U' (F R' F D2 B)
I'm pretty sure that the upper limit is 7 or 8 moves for this step

I don't really see how my step 1 was wrong. Put orange and red on U and D by starting out with 3 corners already near each other, then you orient the last 5. In the step 1 solution I gave I just combined the steps because of R'R'. I've been to his site many times, I even used to use the method.
I'll start over using your start.
Scramble: D R2 B2 D2 F2 D F2 R2 D2 B2 U2 L2 D' B D B' U' L' U F2 L B' F2 R' D2
Step 1 (Place orange and red corners on U and D [it doesn't matter if you have 3 orange and 1 red on U or 2 orange and 2 red, etc.): z U'FR'FD2B
Step 2 (Separate orange and red): L2DL2
Step 3 (Permute all corners): F2DR2D2F2DF2
Step 4: Place D edges: S LEL'FEF'U2S'U2SU'MU2M'
Place U Edges: UFEF2EFU2LEL2ELRERERER
Solve E-edges: RF2R2ERE2RF2R2ER'E2R2D2
I didn't spend much time on this so it would feel more like a typical speedsolve and be easier to understand.

@athefre:
Sorry, I didn't notice that the steps were combined ... that was my bad.
@ cuben00b:
As this is a corners first method the corners need to be solved first. You don't even have to have the centers in the right place to solve the corners.
Step 1 of guimond is to orient all corner cubies.
The way this is done is you first choose two opposite colors. For instance, I usually do white and yellow.
Pretend that white and yellow are the exact same color and pick a top face. Then you apply a very short algorithm to move the corners so that the white/yellow stickers on the corners are facing opposite directions.
So when this step is done, if you look at the top face, the four corners are white/yellow. The same would be true for the bottom face.
Step 2 is to separate the white and yellow.
Ok, so now you can stop pretending that white and yellow are the same thing and move all the yellow corners to one face and the white corners to the other face.
When this step is complete, if you look at the top, the four top the corners will all be the same color. The bottom face will contain the four of the opposite color.
Step 3 Permute both layers
There are 3 possible permutations for each color of corners leaving you with only 5 cases for this step. After this is complete, the corners are solved.
