My Rubik's Magic popped a string yesterday....ugh.
So I restrung it today, using the guide on this site, I used 8 of the available strings, now my Magic is quite loose, so should I double up the strings? Or is it better this way? Or should like I double up on the corners and not on the middle pieces, or...basically what should I do?
Thanks

most definately use a full set of strings. its too unstable with only 1/2 of them on there, i double them all up using the instruction pattern on jaaps website

second opinion? i want someone to say dont double up cuz it would be tougher...i hated restringing, so doing it again will be uh...a hate fest...but the magic is already solved...so...hmm maybe it would be easier!

uh....if you use 8 strings, you're only using half of what you should be using...a complete magic contains 16 strings. If you don't use a full set, a) your magic will pop nearly every time, and b) the strings will snap under the pressure of the twists. You need to use 16, no questions.

Yeah, you really do need 16 strings. And if your magic popped a string, why did you have to restring the whole thing? Couldn't you just do the one (or few) strings that popped?
