I was once a user of the Petrus method... people laughed at me, because "Fridrich is much faster"...
well, when trying to make some vids of me solving for the first time, i realized how slow i was at the petrus, and i tried something new.
it seems every time i use the fridrich F2L, i have trouble not breaking the cross. so what i do now is put three edges in place, that way i have an entire slice as "working space". this method is working out really well, as i just got a new average of 50.8 seconds with it. three of the times in the average were even sub-50
i call this method of mine the 2 step Fridrich F2L.
does anyone else do anything similar to this? and if not, could somebody try it and tell me what they think? i think the working space of mine is really useful for getting together C/E pairs.
