In the off-topic forum the idea came up to make a combined speedcubing video (similar to this dancing video). Make a five seconds video showing the end of a solve and rotating the cube to show it's solved. Both the cube and your face should be visible. I'll attach mine (my video, not my face).
12 cubers make a minute. If we get a huge number of cubers, we could show four at a time scaled down to half size.
Edit: Ok, unfortunately my video gets shown inline, i.e. if you open this thread page you automatically download the video (or is it only loaded when you click the play button?). So if everybody does that it'd be real bad. I'll upload my video on my website in a moment and delete it here. So at first, let me just know if you can make or already have made such a video, don't attach it here.
Edit2: Wait! Before everybody makes a video, I realized it'd be better to discuss it beforehand. I actually like the idea to show four cubers concurrently. And it might look better if not all videos are exactly 5 seconds long so that it looks a bit more chaotic. So my current idea is to have everybody make videos from let's say 4-6 seconds and generate four independent sequences of them which are then scaled to half size and combined in a 2x2 pattern. I can combine videos one after the other but I can't scale and combine them the 2x2 way with my software. Anybody else? Comments?

I need a decent webcam. D:
I like the chaoticness idea you have Stephan, but how about this.
It starts off with a 15 second solve or so, then it cuts to more of the last 5 seconds thing you have, then it splits into 2, then into 4 then it starts changing quickly.
Almost to build up to it.
I dunno. Just an idea.

Or not? I'd still like to do it, though I also still lack the knowledge of how to combine videos in a 2x2 fashion. If someone else wants to do it and is able to, go ahead.
Well it doesn't have to be perfect right away. We could make a 1.0 version simply by concatenating some videos and maybe putting some music above it. Then if more people get interested and someone has the time/tools/knowledge we can make a better version. I tried just concatenating Pembo and me a few times alternatingly but I even failed at that, not being able to import his video into Windows Movie Maker.
