There are at least two or three people who I know would like to improve their Meffert megaminxes by replacing the original springs with softer/shorter ones and washers like I've described here:
http://www.stefan-pochmann.de/spocc/spe ... /megaminx/
Please notice that some (at least older) megaminxes have shorter screws with small heads so this improvement won't work. If you bought it from mefferts.com this or last year you probably have the good screws I have, but I advise you look into one of your centers to find out for sure.
I myself don't have springs left and only a few washers. If you want to order springs, you'll notice the price is ridiculous high for very few springs and very low for many springs. Also shipping costs are crazy. So a large quantity group order would be good.
I got my springs here:
http://www.federnshop.com/
Choose English on the left, then search for "D-077" on the right, then click on the price button. Last time I bought 450 which I've used in various puzzles. They get even cheaper at higher quantities but I don't know how much.
I got my washers here:

Choose English, then do a "quick search" for article number 041030240952. I use about 6 washers in each megaminx center.
Let's just see what the demand is. Post how many springs/washers you'd like and also your country. If you know someone with a stiff megaminx (i.e. one he bought from mefferts.com in the last year or two) show him/her this thread. If there's enough demand I'll do a group order. Or maybe cubesmith would like to do it, especially if there's a lot of demand from the US.
