I was thinking about a possible unofficial record category: team average. Basically, twelve different people would solve a cube each, and calculate the average. It would be harder to get good at than a normal average because most likely each person would be "in the zone" at a different time. If anyone wants to try it, reply here.

Sure. Why not, I guess. Do you need any proof? Because I have no camera. All I have is a computer for timing. Is that good enough?
And of course a speedcube.

xcool: No, I don't need any proof.
Craig: Each person solves only one cube, so it'll be like a normal average taken by a schizophrenic speedcuber.

I think this will pull it down more. I don't know if ypu can use this time but I was trying to go slow and look at all the peicesneeded for the step then thinking of the best way to put them in. after a few solves in the 20s I got 15.82. it wasn't lucky at all and when I was in the middle of the OLL I looked at the timer and saw it was at 10 seconds. so I did the rest as fast as I could. yay. I should go slow more often.

I used it on both. don't bother with the 15 it's not close to my average. I wouldn't call it lucky. I call it was weird. I did my average today using dans scrambler. I did it 2 times and they were both 22.xx when I was solving the cubes I got a lot of sub 20s but they were mostly 17 or higher. sorry about the comfusion I was just happy I got that time.

Ravi knows this already, but I did a 15.19 if anyone cares And Ravi's scramble has an easy Xcross. Using the 12 scrambles of the team average I got my first average with all sub-20 times At least that I'm aware of. And then I rolled it to make the average even better...

I got a 13.51... almost a penalty. This one seems pretty fast, especially Quinn. I'm getting multiple sub-14 averages every day that I take more than a few times now... still working on sub-13... how about you?
-Ravi
EDIT: no sub-14s the day after I posted that. I had to do homework after a few dozen solves, and I was sucking anyway.
EDIT again: got a sub-13 average a few days ago.

I started a new one: for team averages 4 and 5, 24 people will join before the average starts. Then, I'll randomly pick a team captain (I'll be the other one), and we will pick teams (I pick second, because I'm an automatic team captain). May the best team win.
