I've been speedcubing for about a month or two now. Originally I just learned the quick way to solve it and with a lack of time to learn the fast way, kept practicing with it. (Surprisingly I managed a 1:14 on one of those old white opposite blue cubes.)
Anyway, I'm looking for some advice. I got a new cube. Even though it's 2006, it's still got the silver 2005 stickers on it. Is this a good cube for speedcubing? The stickers came off much faster that my old cube, less than a week, and I've ended up printing my own by now considering I don't really care how it looks. It seems much faster than the old one, but I don't think I can do any triggers on it.
Thanks.

Hey Quinn,
now that I have you here even with the right topic: can you please tell me which lubricant (name, brand, ingredients if you know) you used for the Deluxe?
Thanks,
Stefan

Yeah well, I do have several lubricants myself, but I'd like to know what made Quinn's Deluxe so soft...

Ok, you need a Cube Master's help............. hehehehehe
I have 2 types, and one left the cube more..... doughy(thanks to the dictionary ), and the other left the cube very soft, like without contact inside........... it is really great.
both of them lubricate excellently, but in 2 ways.............
What sprays do you use Stephan?

I haven't used sprays for a while, I switched to pure silicone oil. But now I'm looking into sprays again, particularly those that contain petroleum. So I'll try Prestone and CRC silicone spray and WD-40. But it might have to wait two weeks cause I want to study for an exam until then and I don't want to do a half-hearted spray test.

Oh crap, they have many more than these. For example just go to
http://www.crcind.com
click on "United States", then "automotive" and search for "silicone".
